**About this role:** Wells Fargo is seeking a Cyber Security Research Consultant with experience or education in tactical cyber-attack evaluation, exploit testing and analysis, cyber intelligence, and red or purple teaming. The ideal candidate will have experience in using tactical expertise in exploit testing, and exploit proof-of-concept development and analysis, to identify over-the-horizon cyber-attack vectors that may pose a risk to the company's information security environment. **In this role, you will:** + Participate in the research, analysis, design, testing and implementation of medium to complex computer network security and protection technologies + Act as professional ethical penetration tester utilizing hacking tools to modify or create proof of concept exploits that mimic techniques of attackers to identify vulnerabilities and associate with a severity rating by deriving impact and ease of exploit + Review and analyze security vulnerabilities for the company's networks, application systems, hardware infrastructure and emerging technologies to improve the enterprise information security posture + Perform tests on networking devices, appliance products and web-based application + Present recommendations to the line of business on the inherent risks, providing meaningful mitigation strategies + Provide guidance and leadership to more experienced Information Security Engineers and act as a mentor for theses engineers interested in penetration testing and offensive security + Perform security risk assessments to ensure compliance with corporate information security policies and adherence to best practices + Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals + Interact with internal customers + Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements **Required Qualifications:** + 2+ years of Cyber Security Research experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education **Desired Qualifications:** + 1+ years of experience in network, social, and physical domains + 1+ years working with MITRE ATT&CK and/or NIST frameworks + Demonstrated experience leading initiatives + Information security experience in converged testing (red teaming) + Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education + Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills + Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences + Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand environment while balancing multiple priorities + Knowledge and understanding of data security controls including malware protection, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, content filtering, Internet proxies, encryption controls, and log management solutions + Knowledge and understanding of threat analysis and assessment of potential and current information security risk/threats + Experience with Cloud and Virtualization/Containerization technologies **Job Expectations:** + This position offers a hybrid work schedule + This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship **Locations:** + 1525 WT Harris Blvd, Charlotte, North Carolina 28262 + 2600 S Price Rd, Chandler, Arizona 85286 + 550 S 4th St, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55415 + 401 Las Colinas Blvd W Bldg A, Irving, TX 75039 + 4101 Wiseman Blvd Bldg 110, San Antonio, TX 78251 + 1100 Corporate Center Dr Lot B, Raleigh, NC 27607 **Salary Ranges:** + $87,000 - $140,000 - Charlotte, NC + $87,000 - $140,000 - Chandler, AZ + $87,000 - $140,0000 - Irving, TX + $87,000 - $140,0000 - San Antonio, TX + $87,000 - $140,0000 - Raleigh, NC + $96,000 - $154,0000 - Minneapolis, MN **Pay Range** Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position.
