Hardware Technician 2 – IT Field Support Specialist (Cleared)
Ft. Meade and surrounding area, MD

**REQUIRES an ACTIVE TOP SECRET/SCI Clearance with Polygraph to Start**

SCD Information Technology (SCDIT) is seeking a skilled Hardware Technician 2 with practical experience in hardware installation, repair, and maintenance to serve as an IT Field Support Specialist 2 for a technology support contract which encompasses support in the areas of IT cabling, Telecommunications, Computer Hardware, Computer Software, and Help Desk within the DMV.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide Tier 2 and 3 on-site and remote supports for computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment.
  • Conduct sites surveys; assesses and documents current site configuration and user requirements.
  • Analyze existing requirements and prepare specifications for hardware acquisitions.
  • Develops hardware installation schedules.
  • Prepare drawings documenting configuration changes at each site.
  • Prepares site installation and test reports.
  • Train site personnel in proper use of hardware.
  • Build specialized interconnecting cables.
Requirements:
  • An active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required to start.
  • Minimum education and experience level: High school/GED and two (2) to four (4) years of experience and Security + Certification.
  • Equivalent education and experience: Associate degree in a technical field and two (2) years of experience or a Bachelors’ degree in a technical field.
  • Must have one of the following 8570 certifications: A+ CE, NET+ CE, SSCP prior to starting on contract.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $77,000
