Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Intervention Specialist to join our team, helping us provide alternative educational solutions that incorporate cutting-edge 21st-century technology. This role involves overseeing e-learning classes, ensuring that students have the resources they need to succeed in a flexible, technology-driven environment. You will be responsible for maintaining compliance with special education records, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Evaluation Team Reports (ETRs), monitoring student progress, and offering instructional support tailored to students' individual needs.

This position primarily operates from a home office, with occasional visits to the main office or regional locations as assigned by the administration. You will work closely with students who may be learning from home or in school computer labs, providing support and resources to help them succeed academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with student special needs records, including IEPs and ETRs.
Utilize technology to select, modify, and create instructional resources that meet the diverse learning styles and needs of students.
Regularly monitor and report on student progress for both IEP goals and objectives, using IEP reporting software and Student Information Systems.
Lead and participate in IEP and ETR meetings, revising and authoring IEPs as necessary.
Deliver specialized instruction per the specifications of each student's IEP, ensuring they receive meaningful, individualized learning experiences.
Create and assess offline assignments, providing detailed feedback to students and collaborating with faculty when needed.
Maintain regular contact with students and families to address attendance, participation, or progress concerns.
Collaborate with teams to improve student engagement, motivation, and productivity, ensuring effective learning experiences.
Track and monitor student progress across various learning environments, making necessary referrals for academic, social/emotional, or technical support.
Participate in state testing preparations, registration, and onsite administration.
Provide support for Response to Intervention (RTI) programming, modeling strategies, and assisting general education teachers in implementing RTI strategies.
Work closely with other specialists to remove barriers to learning for students with special needs.
Attend required online and in-person meetings and events, including graduation ceremonies.
Analyze data from screenings and state-mandated tests to identify intervention needs.
Ensure program goals and objectives are met and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications:

A current teaching license in Ohio (Education of the Handicapped K-12 license required; general education teaching license is a plus).
Strong understanding of individualized instruction and accommodations/modifications to support students in the least restrictive environment.
Proficiency in technology and home-office setup, including high-speed internet access.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines effectively.
Flexibility, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to effectively interact with students, parents, staff, and administration.
A commitment to ongoing professional growth and improvement, with the ability to receive and apply constructive feedback.
Ability to work independently from home or a regional office setting.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $ 50.00 Per Hour
