Are you a dedicated and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) passionate about providing exceptional patient care? We're seeking a talented individual to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you'll play a vital part in delivering high-quality healthcare services, working closely with providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient treatment and recovery.
This position offers the flexibility of remote work and requires adherence to current CMS vaccine mandates.
What You'll Do:
Patient Care & Clinical Support:
Prepare patients for examinations and treatments by gathering essential medical information, including medical history, vital signs, medications, and allergies.
Administer medications, injections, and provide wound care, while assisting with EKGs, GYN exams, and other procedures as directed by our providers.
Closely monitor patients for any adverse reactions to medications or treatments and report them promptly.
Empower patients by providing comprehensive education on medications, treatment plans, and disease management.
Assist patients in navigating medication assistance programs, including refill processes.
Collect and process lab samples (urine, blood, sputum) and conduct routine laboratory tests.
Administrative & Coordination Duties:
Act as a trusted liaison between patients and providers, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Coordinate patient care by assisting with scheduling tests, treatments, and referrals.
Maintain a well-organized and fully stocked clinical environment, including exam rooms and medical equipment.
Accurately track and log immunizations, drug samples, and vaccine inventory.
Uphold the highest standards of patient privacy and safety by adhering to HIPAA and OSHA compliance guidelines.
Contribute to Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) initiatives and meaningful use criteria.
Quality & Compliance Responsibilities:
Engage in ongoing quality assurance, professional development, and emergency preparedness training.
Support the maintenance of regulatory requirements for laboratory operations.
Diligently monitor and document patient progress, chronic disease care protocols, and test results.
Foster a positive and respectful workplace culture that prioritizes teamwork and compassionate care.
