This internship is ideal for someone eager to break into gaming and PR – and curious about how stories are shaped across traditional press, social media, and emerging platforms.
You’ll gain hands-on experience supporting major campaigns, events, and launches for iconic Ubisoft titles. The role calls for someone who understands the traditional media landscape as well as emerging digital platforms – ideal for someone who’s media-savvy, reliable, organized, and ready to contribute.
What you’ll do
Help manage and update media contact database
Monitor earned media coverage and create coverage reports and campaign recaps that highlight performance and insights
Support logistics for press events, both in person and remote
Draft press materials under staff guidance, including pitches, launch press kits, event invites, asset delivery
Track performance across editorial, social media, YouTube, podcasts, and other digital platforms
Research competitive industry trends, media contacts and creators to support campaign planning
Support media outreach efforts via direct contact with members of the editorial community
Take clear, organized notes during meetings to help track decisions and next steps
Proactively recommend workflow improvements and help improve team efficiencies
What you’ll bring
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills; ability to manage shifting priorities and meet deadlines
A proactive mindset with the confidence to take ownership of projects
A collaborative, team-first attitude that builds trust across key stakeholders
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity of media tracking tools is a plus
Genuine curiosity about PR, gaming, and how stories are shaped across platforms
Solid grasp of the evolving media landscape, from traditional press to social media and emerging creator-driven platforms
Bonus: You follow gaming creators, industry personalities, or podcasts and understand what captures attention and drives conversation
This is a 6-month temporary assignment, starting in October 2025. This is a full-time hybrid position, requiring a 40-hour workweek with an on-site presence three days per week
The San Francisco base salary range for this position is $25 hourly.
